What are Sessions?

The Core Session, Premium Session and Morning Mindfulness Journaling Session is a relaxed, guided creative program designed to support joy, connection, and overall well-being for Independent living or Assisted Living residents. Each session encourages self-expression and social interaction in a calm, welcoming environment where the creative process is valued more than the final result.

Where Is This Service Offered?

Arts and Crafts with the Bumble Bee proudly offers on-site creative enrichment services throughout the Los Angeles area, including the South Bay and surrounding communities.

Locations outside of our standard service radius may be accommodated based on availability and are subject to an additional travel fee.

How often are sessions held?

Sessions are offered as a one-time or monthly program, with consistent scheduling encouraged to help residents build familiarity, confidence, and anticipation around a creative routine.

How many residents can participate?

Each session includes up to 12 residents at the flat rate.

• For groups larger than 12, an additional $30 per resident will be billed.
• Final participant counts must be confirmed 24 hours prior to the event.

What can residents expect during a session?

Residents can expect:

• A warm, guided painting or craft activity led by a local commissioned artist
• Clear, step-by-step instruction with encouragement throughout
• Projects adapted for varying mobility, dexterity, and comfort levels
• A low-pressure, social atmosphere that supports creativity and connection
• All materials provided, with full setup and cleanup included

What session options are available?

The following session options are offered:

Core Session (60 minutes)

A relaxed creative experience ideal for introducing residents to monthly art programming.

$350 per session

Premium Session (90 minutes)

A more immersive experience tailored to resident interests, allowing extra time for creativity, conversation, and gentle guidance.

$525 per session

Morning Mindfulness Journaling (30–45 minutes)

A peaceful morning activity combining mindfulness exercises with light doodling and journaling, designed to promote relaxation and positive connection.

$250 per session

What does the flat-rate pricing include?

Flat-rate pricing includes:

• Instruction
• All art materials
• Setup and cleanup
• Programming for up to 12 residents

There are no hidden or additional supply fees.

Are discounts available for recurring sessions?

Yes. Communities that commit to recurring monthly sessions receive discounted rates:

• Month-to-Month Booking: Standard rate
• 3-Month Commitment: 5% savings per session
• 6-Month Commitment: 10% savings per session

Why do communities choose this program?

What are the space and setup requirements?

The client agrees to provide:

• Adequate tables and chairs for participants
• Reasonable access to the space for setup and cleanup
• A safe, well-lit environment suitable for painting or crafting

What is the alcohol policy?

If alcohol is present during the event, it is the sole responsibility of the client.

The artist does not provide alcohol and is not liable for any alcohol-related incidents.

Who is responsible for liability and damages?

The artist is not responsible for:

• Damage to the venue or furnishings
• Personal belongings
• Injuries resulting from misuse of materials

The client assumes responsibility for participants during the event.

Can photos be taken during the session?

The artist may photograph finished artwork or group participation for promotional purposes unless the client submits a written opt-out request prior to the event.

How does scheduling and payment work?

• Sessions are scheduled in advance.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date and time.
• The remaining balance is due 48 hours prior to the event.
• Events are not considered booked until the deposit is received.

Failure to submit final payment may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.

What is the attendance and refund policy?

• Pricing is based on the agreed group size.
• No refunds are provided for reduced attendance.
• Additional participants may be accommodated for an additional fee, subject to availability.

What is the non-refundable deposit policy?

The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation, no-shows, or changes in attendance.

If rescheduling is requested with at least 72 hours’ notice, the deposit may be applied to a future date, subject to availability.

Rescheduling within 72 hours forfeits the deposit.

What is the cancellation policy?

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event forfeit the deposit only.
• Cancellations within 72 hours of the event may require full payment due to materials, scheduling, and time commitments.

What happens if the artist must cancel?

In the rare event the artist must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control, the client will receive:

• A full refund of all payments made or
• The option to reschedule at no additional cost
